WHAT IF............
Another great topic that was emailed to me..thank you my dear friend. Keep the ideas coming!!!!
What if~you didn't eat that piece of cake?
What if~you didn't date that one guy/girl?
What if~you would have said sorry instead of holding onto your pride?
What if~you would have listened to your heart when it said run?
What if~you wouldn't have quit that job for something else?
Do you ever "what if" something to death? I'm sure you do, we all do! A what if is like an alarm going off in your head to alert you that there is something you FEAR!! Pick a what if of yours and ask yourself the following:
1. What would have been different?
2. What would I look like?
3. What would I feel like?
4. Who would I be?
I'm sure the answers are directly related to who you wish you were or wish where you were right now!!
However, the fear kept you stuck and you find that you replaced the cake with a pizza, you dated another jerk, you said sorry and someone took you for granted. You ran and you realized you took all your baggage including your fear. Your new job makes you feel "out" of place, and so on. When you what if something, it is truly an opportunity to look inside and wonder where you went wrong......What?!? Went wrong? I didn't do anything wrong, the other person did or temptation stepped in, or something better caught my eye, etc. You know the blame game. Blaming others for our inability to know who we are.
Your responsibility in the "what if" game is to look inside, find out what you settled for, or didn't have the balls to stand up to or for, to find out what you were supposed to learn and CHANGE that behavior!!
The "what if" game is one of the most detrimental games you can play. Suck it up, realize you made choices/decisions in your life, own them and then change what doesn't work!
